I'm Going Green!

With our change in plans and decision to stay in our house, I have decided to try to make it more "guest-friendly" with some extra beds to make others feel welcome. I also have never really liked the idea of fixing up the house to sell. Why make it nicer for someone else to buy it rather than just making it nice for us to live in? It just never made sense to me. My family is more important to me than some stranger who might buy my house! So...

My scrapbook room was the most logical place to start! It is the one room in the house that no one actually sleeps in, but it certainly has room if I just get myself organized in there. Why move things around to organize now and then again later to paint? I'm going to just do it all at once. It is amazing how much difference a fresh coat of paint can make in a room. It is the cheapest makeover tool I have found. I have done some research on colors and the emotions they evoke, so green it is! The walls will be green and the accents will be black and yellow. It is going to be perfect!! Now I just have to discipline myself and do a good job of making room by getting rid of items that I will just never use in my scrapbooks. Wish me luck!

**I know that I have been MIA lately. I started a post last week about what we were doing the week before and never posted it. I am one of those people who does well writing several posts at one time and then forgetting for a while. I had several posts saved, but then when I decided to post them, they all came up as a post on the day I originally wrote them and seemed to get lost in the mix. I promise to post more now that I have discovered the "schedule" button that will allow me to write all in one day and post on different days!!
