More Photos and Ideas

#23. I didn't take a picture of the page I did for Geno's grandpa, but I did one for my grandma that same year. This is a picture of her with all of her sisters taken probably around the late 30's/early 40's. The flowers are from that same K&Co book from Hobby Lobby. This is sitting at her house on a nice easel. (It will be returned to me when she passes.) There are also flower folding templates from http://www.paperwishes.com/ and http://www.orientaltradingcompany.com/ . I plan to buy some of those and make more pages and cards like this!
#27. These are the cards that I designed for Super Saturday this year. I have about 10 different sayings to go with the "u". I just cut out a bunch of "u's" with my Cricut and stamped or printed the other sayings. I don't even make my own card bases anymore. You can buy a set of 50 with envelopes for $6.99 at Hobby Lobby (that is $4.19 with my 40% off coupon) and I divide them into sets of 5. That is less than 50 cents per set!

#29. Sugar bowl candles. I found this idea in a magazine this year and can't wait to make these! We have an amazing thrift shop about 45 minutes away that I need to hit first. You just find beautiful china sugar bowls that have lost their creamer mates and been shipped off to the thrift shops and flea markets. Make sure they have their lids still. Then just pour your own scented candle creations inside to make a beautiful (and hopefully inexpensive) gift.

#30. Toaster oven with recipes. Just like the crock pot, I think that every home should have a toaster oven. We use ours ALL THE TIME. It is so nice when the boys want a hot after-school snack like Pizza Rolls, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, or even mini pizzas. We use it for reheating left-overs and toasting bread. It keeps you from having to heat up the house with the oven and you don't have to wait for it to preheat!

#11. Family Calendars. Just a litle note...I stopped spending so much time making homemade calendars last year and just bought the $1 ones from Michael's and wrote in all of the dates. They have so many designs and styles (mousepad, wall, pocket, 6x6), that I found something to work for everyone. I just happened to go this year when they were all 50cents, so I grabbed them then. I just need to add the dates and I am done for less than $5 for everyone and in less time than making just one handmade one would have taken!

Ok, I was supposed to be working on my Super Saturday projects. I am so proud that I am pretty much finished...and I even cut a lot out for the ladies so they don't have to! We are meeting at 9:30am to shop for the rest of the stuff and finish setting up, and I am sitting here in my pjs! Better get moving... I will post photos of my projects next week!
