Gift Idea Photos

26. These pendant necklaces are SO EASY and inexpensive to make! The clear jewels can be found in the floral department and you get about 70 of them for $2.99 at Hobby Lobby--even less if you use your 40% off coupon! You just use whatever paper scraps you have (I even used some stickers with paper) and apply it to the jewel with Mod Podge. Apply another coat over the paper and glue on a jump ring or whatever kind of hook you want. Pick some cute ribbon (think 50% off at HL again!). We are doing 50+ of these for Super Saturday this week.

#24. This is the picture block. We always meet to plan our Super Saturday projects and bring our ideas. Two of us had this idea with us. I LOVE THESE! This was our take on them, but you can find other ideas here:
***www.theideadoor.com go to crafts on the right and then find Temple Picture crafts. I really like it with the scrapbook paper behind it, too. If you choose the square photos, www.scrapbookpictures.com will print those sizes for you!
***www.poppyseedprojects.com has some REALLY cute block projects!

#27. How could I forget handmade notecards? I make them almost every year.

#10. These are the glitter ornaments I was talking about. It was so much fun having Zachary help me with them. He was so proud!

These are the supplies. We made 18 ornaments and it used about 1" of the wax (you can see the bottle is almost full and we were done!) and about the same of the glitter. The Martha Stewart glitter runs about $10 for a bottle at Michael's, so I use my 50% off coupons for that whenever I need some! The wax is from Wal-mart. Make sure to get this exact one. The plastic wrap is just to fold a piece and cover the hole when you swish around the wax and shake the glitter. If you shake the wax it will cause air bubbles. Just roll it around inside the bulb until you are sure that ALL of it is covered.

The final product! These were for my CTR class at church, so I had my friend cut me the vinyl CTR shields. It was pretty tricky to get the vinyl to go on the rounded surface without puckering. We are doing the flat round ones this time.

#23 This is a scrapbook page of our engagement picture I have in our bedroom. The "&" was originally done in red, but when we changed the color of our comforter, I just changed that out, too ;o) The frame is from Hobby Lobby. If you watch the 50% off sales, they are only $5!

This is a sample of #25. I made this one for Geno with my favorite pictures of him and Noodlebug. I have done them for family with "Memories" in the middle or "Find Joy in the Journey" with family photos. I can cut the inside saying for you and send it if you would like. This is also the Hobby Lobby frame.

28. File folder games. I am making these for the grandkids this year. If you go to http://www.finchfamilygames.com/ (Yes, another LDS site!) you can purchase their program for $4 and then download the files for $1 each! They have a lot of educational games that are not specific to our religion that are great for the kids. It costs me about $1 to get the folder laminated and I just laminate the smaller pieces with my laminator that does up to 8 1/2 x 11.

My husband sent me a text that he is on the way home! Yes, it is only 11:30am, but that is the life we live. We didn't see each other much yesterday, so I am in need of some cuddle time ;o)
