Answers to Prayers

We got a call from Christopher tonight. He was on his way home from work and wanted me to put the phone on speaker so that he could tell Geno and I his latest news at the same time.

We will most likely be getting to spend more time with Noodlebug!!

No, he isn't coming to live with us again. As much as I would love that to happen, I feel like there are some things that Geno and I need to focus on without a little one in the house. However, Christopher just applied for Special Forces. He is about to begin a 9 week training period to prepare himself for the 21 day intensive period where they decide if you make it or not!

(I did tell Geno that I'm not that thrilled with knowing some of the things that Christopher will have to endure in order to be accepted into this elite group, but Geno assured me that there are thousands who have made it and they are all taken care of well.)

If he is accepted, they will move to Fort Bragg, North Carolina in September!! Now, I know that isn't the same as living in the same city with us, but remember that we, too, are moving more west and he will at least be where it won't take an expensive airplane ride to see him! Not only that, but once they finish all of their training the Army tries to station them near family for support and one of the choices is Fort Benning, Georgia. That is closer to our new home than a trip from here to Branson!! Heavenly Father is listening to us and answering our prayers.

Now, if He could just help us to sell this house and get moved so that we can take a trip to Hawaii while they are still out there ;o)
