"i" LOVE

Where has this "i" been all my life?  I have heard about the iPhone (which causes Geno to steer quickly into any Apple store and for which he is patiently waiting for the one his work has promised will be coming).  I have heard about an iPod and iTunes that you need to fill up your iPod with music and movies.  I had not yet developed this "i" love until recently.

My Uncle Jimmie has been battling Leukemia for several years and is making some final plans now.  My mom called to see if Geno and I could make a memorial DVD for his funeral service.  Of course, we would be honored to do that!  I was so happy that I had agreed to do it when the package of pictures arrived and there were several that were from my mother's childhood that I had never seen before.  Now they are safely scanned in and saved on my computer.

For anyone who knows Geno, you know that he does not do anything halfway-except home improvement projects (and I am there to encourage (threaten) him to take the time to do it the right way)!  So, after Mark scanned all of the photos and I had them divided out into the order that I wanted them to appear on the DVD, I sat down with Geno to get started.  And so begins my "i" love!  Geno never does anything with photos-except save the best ones I take of Zachary as his screen saver-so he really hadn't done anything with iPhoto on his Macbook Pro that is his work laptop.  When he opened this program and started to play with the editing tools, I was in awe.  "Enhance" is my favorite button in the whole world right now!  I am hooked!  Just by pushing that one button, the pictures were transformed into professional quality looks.  Geno was able to repair tears and folds in old photos and it was amazingly easy!  So, I was intrigued.  I decided that Prom pictures were the place to start and I had a bunch of them to work with.  I am always so amazed at the quality of photos others take, but now I have their secret!  It is "i"!  I am going to have "i" as soon as we sell this house and get settled in Alabama.  Geno agrees that I need "i".  It even loads the photos and lists them according to what date they were taken, so I wouldn't have to sit and wonder when anymore!  I love "i"!!!
