It is patiently waiting for me...

It came today!
I am finally the proud owner of my very own wheat grinder! I can't tell you how excited I am that I have actually been using some of the 850 pounds of wheat Geno and I stored about 8 years ago. I have been making pancakes and other goodies, but now it is time to make my own bread. I have a Kitchen Aid that I use for mixing, but it seems to get over-heated when I make a larger batch, so I need to find a recipe that works well for me and my family. I am even more excited about grinding up some popcorn kernels and making fresh ground cornmeal. We love cornbread in this house, so I know it will be a big hit! Now, I don't have to bother Nancy every time I want to grind wheat!!
BUT...
I have to wait until I have the house ready to start showing this week! That means that I can't open it until I have the laundry room painted, the boys' bathroom painted and one last good clean all through the house.
Sorry, Missie! That means that you won't be getting any homemade bread just yet!!
I have to tell you about my friends, Missie and Sarah! This weekend they were telling me about reading Meg's blog about grinding wheat and making wheat bread. Sarah said that she was thinking "I want to grind some wheat and make my own bread." Missie said, "Not me! I was thinking-I want Meg to make me some wheat bread!" They are too funny ;o)
