So this is where we are in the process:
The laundry room is getting a coat of green! It is funny to walk by it now, because it has been that same pinkish color that was all over the house since we moved in! It is growing on me quickly, though. I will have Geno move out the washer and dryer today and I am certain that I can have this done-trim and all by tonight. When we were staging the house last year and I had some ladies over to help me out, Emily suggested a darker color to make the cabinets "pop". She was right! I didn't even notice that until I took this photo. I am going to add a vinyl rub-on to that back wall when this all done and then I will take another picture of the finished product.
This is the downstairs bathroom (otherwise known as the boys' bathroom!). We had removed the ballerina wallpaper and painted it blue several years ago. We did not, however, understand the whole remodeling process since this was our first home! The wallpaper was put on the drywall, so we needed to texture the wall before painting. The white on this long wall is the primer over the texture. After a long talk with Meg about the trouble with beadboard, we are skipping the beadboard and painting the bottom 4 feet of that long wall white and putting trim up to "split" the blue top and white bottom. The other white spots are more primer over texture where I wanted to just touch up and make it look nice. I think that I can actually have this done by tonight, too!!
I enjoy doing home improvement projects, but they are certainly not on the top of Geno's "Things I Love To Do" list! I love how I feel in the rooms when it is all done. These projects used to be a lot of arguing, but now I just do as much work as possible and Geno just keeps asking, "What do you want me to do next?" That works out well for us ;o) Also, not having him paint is a good thing!!

New paint makes the biggest difference and is so rewarding! Glad you're getting to done!
