A Sad Day...

I know. They just look like a plain pair of flip-flops!

However, I bought these shoes in April of 1987!!! Yes, they are 20 years old! I LOVE these flip-flops and I have worn them every summer (and even in the house in the winter) for 20 years. They are Ocean Pacific, and those of you who lived in the 80's remember how popular that brand was. They had arch support for my flat feet. They were SO comfortable. And the best part is that I found them on sale for $2.99! They started to crack two summers ago, but I continued to wear them faithfully. Mark slipped them on one day to run out and check the mail and then the crack got way bigger. I have been wearing them this summer knowing that the end was getting near. It finally happened. I had to take a picture before actually throwing them away. I have searched and searched for a pair just like them, but you just can't replace an old classic like these!
