Since Missie keeps telling me that she is tired of looking at my blog and seeing that same picture of Geno and Mark (who, by the way is back living with us-another blog!), I thought that I had better at least grab one and post it. This is a favorite of mine. Geno dropped Noodle and me off at the metro before he went to class and we rode it into DC. We went first to the Museum of Natural History and spent a couple of hours looking at animals, etc. Since we had the entire day to see the sights, we just started walking toward the Washington Monument toward the Lincoln Memorial. He fell asleep as we were passing the Washington Monument and his little head kept bobbing forward in the umbrella stroller. I found a nice little spot by the reflecting pool and pulled over to let him have a good nap. He scrunched right up into my most favorite position that babies sleep in with his little bum up in the air! That is the World War II Memorial right behind him.
The adventures of one very energetic 9 year-old boy, his awesome 12 year-old brother with autism, his PaPa who has Advanced Adhesive Arachnoiditis, his crazy, crafty Gram who tries to keep it all together and their life in a little village.

HOME!
The way Noodle says this word has given it a whole new meaning for me. I have pretty much always been very comfortable being home and having a set routine. Geno is the one who wants to go places all the time. I always have little projects that I am working on, so I have plenty to keep my busy. It is important to venture out every once in a while, too, I have learned since being married to him. We have been gone quite a bit lately since we are traveling together for his work. I play all day while he goes to class and then I pick him up and we play together for another few hours. We have been to Chicago and Baltimore/DC area for three weeks. We are headed to several more classes over the next year and I am very excited about that.
Our last trip was to the Baltimore/DC area for two weeks. I have decided that I don't like being away from home for more than one week at a time. At the beginning of this trip, though, I got a call that I needed to go to Hawaii to get my grandson. How this has changed our lifestyle, but it is too much fun having him here and I am already sad for when he does go back to Hawaii! When we did finally pull up to our house from our long trip, though, Noodle must have remembered and he he said, "HOOOME!" He draws out the word and says it with a sense of relief as in "There's no place like..."
