Going Green Isn't Easy!

I just wanted to post an update on the "going green" thing. I have FINALLY picked the shade that I would like to use. It isn't even one of the choices from the paint chips I took the picture of! I ended up using a piece of scrapbook paper that I really like and having Lowe's color match it. I have spent the last week with little areas on three of the walls painted in the three different colors I chose. I sit in there at night with the blinds closed, during the day with only the sunlight lighting the room and then during the day with the lights on. It is amazing how each of the colors look different in each of those lighting situations. I actually chose a different one as my favorite for each of the different lights, but it has to be only one. (I had forgotten just how much time I actually spend in that room, so I need to make a choice and get busy! I use it when I am working on my Primary lessons. I write thank you notes in there. I sew in there-and I need to get busy on Mark and Derrick's clothes for their Pioneer Handcart Trek in July. I work on my weekly menu. I get my weekly schedule together. Plus, I need to get it done so that I can work on my kitchen next!) My personal favorite is the brightest color, but I have to consider the "flow" from one room to another and also how it would be perceived by a potential buyer. All in all, I am pleased with the color I have chosen and it will be lightened by the black that I am going to use for accents. I have been buying nice wooden picture frames to paint black from Helping Hands for 25 cents and 50 cents each! I am going to do 2 walls at a time and move things over so that I don't have to pull EVERYTHING out and make a mess in the living room, too! Today I am filling holes. Tomorrow I start to paint. Well, off to buy my new paint!!
