Serving Our Country

Christopher has been on my mind a lot lately. He has been gone to Iraq for about a month now. The support given to the troops to allow them to call home and keep in contact over the internet is wonderful. I can't even imagine what life was like during the World Wars when mothers could only hope to get a letter from their soldiers to hear that they were ok. We pray for him each day and know that there are others who are praying for him also. I did finally hear from him today and he said that they have been going out on a lot of missions lately. I told him that I was considering putting his address on my blog for those who read it, and he said to go ahead and tell them to send him lots of stuff ;o) He has always been very social and loves to hear from people. Please take the time to drop him a line or send him a box. (The post office has started providing Priority Flat Rate Military boxes for $10.95) We are sending one out today and we will continue to send them every couple of weeks. If you would like to add to it, just let me know!
PV2 Miller, Christopher J
C Co 1-21IN #43007
APO AE 09344-3005
(The address must be written exactly as above, because there are a couple of other Christopher Millers in his group!)
I had to add this picture that I took of Christopher and Zachary on December 13, 2007-the day that he graduated from Army Infantry Training. This is definitely a "My Daddy. My Hero." scrapbook page if I ever saw one!!

Thanks for sharing his address. I will drop him a line and (try to remember to) bring some stuff over to include in his box. I think of him often and pray he will be safe. Hugs to you my friend!
