It is Finally Official!!!

The call came yesterday.

I was at Sam's Club getting a huge bag of mozzarella cheese for homemade pizza. Geno has been craving pizza for weeks. We went out to try a new place, but now that we have Jerushia's recipe we just can't be satisfied by anything but our own creations. I had decided that last night would be the night for me to make it. I also had realized this Sunday how much I missed having the Davis family over to join us. Of course, it is harder now that they have 5 children and the two older ones are in school. We used to spend A LOT of time together, but it hasn't been as much over the last year or so. I had decided that we needed their help eating the pizza and I would pull out a Family Home Evening packet for us, too!

When I hit the message button on the answering machine and it was from the Secret Service, I ran to the bedroom to wake up Geno so he could call back and accept. I couldn't believe that the call finally came. After he called and accepted the position, we both called our parents to let them know. Then I called Shane and Nancy to invite them over for FHE (to celebrate but they didn't know it). We waited until the part where we go over the family calendar and I asked Geno if he had anything to add. They had been asking him about things over dinner and he just kind of sidestepped the answers without saying too much. Geno said that now we are allowed to tell others. He reports April 10th and will graduate October 3rd.
