T.G.I.F.

I don't know why I chose that title exactly. It isn't like I went to work every day this week. I did go out making sales calls on Wednesday and this is the first week that I worked on my business really hard that I felt was super-productive! I have finally started to figure out how to get information on the stores here in Arkansas that either already carry product that I represent or would benefit greatly from learning more about those products! I am sending out emails and making phone calls daily.
This is the first week, though, that Geno has gone back to work after 7 1/2 months of not being able to find work! Not to mention, he got the call from the Secret Service for the pre-employment drug test which means that he will be getting the call anytime now with the job offer. That also means that he will be leaving for DC and I will start my time as a single mother again! The difference is that this time I don't have 4 little boys at home-ages 10 months to 7 years! It will be Derrick, Brian (he comes home March 26th at 8:30pm!) and me. I will stay here until Derrick graduates and then make plans to move.
Have I mentioned how much I love being home alone again? I am the queen of my castle again! I have gotten so many things done that it feels wonderful. I have been reducing clutter, moving things around, and just crossing things off my list. My scrapbook room has a floor again! I want so much to get in there and make some pages, but here I am on the computer! Actually, I promised Geno that I would get our taxes completely done today. I have always done our taxes, but this year we are going to try out that deal where you pay $29 and they go over your return and see if there is anything you missed. We are hoping that there is and we will be one of those people that they advertise gets about $1300 more in refunds!! So, I am going to get that done along with updating my account information in Quicken-which I have been neglecting for almost 2 months!-and then I am headed to get a few projects done in my scrapbook room!!
I had to add this photo-which isn't very good-of the little gift that I made for the swap I did with my girlfriends. I got these little take-out boxes in the wedding department at Hobby Lobby (of course with my 40% off coupon!) I put York Peppermint Patties in it. I made the fortune cookie out of craft foam. Did you know that a fortune cookie is just a circle? The fortune inside says "We were mint to be together."
Last night Elder Barnes stopped over to say bye. He has been here for quite some time and we have become very fond of him. It was sad to see him go, but then I realized that it also meant that this is the last transfer for Brian and the next one will be home!!!
