It looks like we are staying in Arkansas-for a few more years anyway! Even though it wasn't my idea to move to Washington DC, I had come to accept it and even get myself all psyched up for the awesome area out there. Even Derrick was doing well with accepting it! But, the timing just wasn't right. There was some miscommunication about important information that would have made it impossible for us to make it out there while Geno was in training. At least we learned all of this BEFORE I gave up my awesome job and had the house all in boxes! I just hope that if the Secret Service truly is what Geno wants to do that he does it. I mean how many people can actually get into the Secret Service? And how awesome is it that he did!
Now, all of our energies are focused on what to do now that we are staying here and he DID give up his job! He didn't care for it too much anyway, so it isn't that big of a loss-well, except that we have no income now. Minor detail. We do have a nice home here. We have some really great friends here. We have two of our four children here. We have the cutest grandson ever here. We will be just fine! Tonight I will cast my list-making, goal-setting powers and we will figure it all out together. After all, isn't TOGETHER the best place to be?
